Its taken some time but the Unai Emery era has finally reached its conclusion.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you’re probably aware of the fact that Arsenal finally sacked their head coach on Friday after being at the club for eighteen months.
It’s been a long wait but Arsenal is finally back in action. After an underwhelming year, it’s time to wipe the slate clean and look towards the new Premier League season. Following a third successive season of qualifying for Europa League football, the demands of Champions League football and the improvement in player performances grows stronger. The future is now. After another underwhelming season, Arsenal needs a fresh start. Whether they attempt to accomplish this by taking risks or overhauling the squad, a lot needs to happen to ensure there’s still light at the end of the tunnel for the North London club.
Following the confirmation that Freddie Ljungberg will join Unai Emery’s coaching staff as an assistant first-team coach from the 1st of July, it looks like the club is starting to put the pieces together to build towards a better future.
