Leeds United are expected to win the race to sign Eddie Nketiah on a season-long loan today.
According to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein, the Arsenal forward is currently travelling to Leeds where he’ll complete a season-long loan deal to the Championship club.
While reports had linked Nketiah with a move to Bristol City, it has been reported by Ornstein that Director of Football Victor Orta made a late push to convince the 20-year-old to sign for the club.
The young forward has been linked with numerous clubs this window including the likes of Bristol City, Fortuna Dusseldorf, and Swansea City.
Nketiah was one of Arsenal’s best performers during pre-season where he scored three goals for the club, two versus Fiorentina and one against Bayern Munich.
However, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette far ahead of the 20-year-old in the pecking order, Nketiah now has the opportunity to further his development by playing regular first-team football in the Championship.
