Turkish defender Çağlar Söyüncü will sign for Leicester City from German side Freiburg for a fee believed to be around £20 million.
The transfer is subject to a work permit that will be decided in the next few days. If a permit is granted then the transfer will go through, but if it doesn’t the deal will be cancelled with Leicester City paying nothing.
The Turkish defender had reportedly been close to signing for Arsenal for £35 million at the start of the transfer window yet the Foxes were able to complete the deal for a reduced fee.
The Foxes have already announced the signing of Croatian defender Filip Benković and the potential unveiling of Söyüncü will help bolster their defence, this season.
